At Benxing Entertainment we respect your privacy and care deeply about the safety and security of your family. This document outlines the types of personal information we receive and collect when you use the Bamboo Bunch service, as well as some of the steps we take to safeguard information. We hope this will help you make an informed decision about sharing personal information with us.
Before diving into the privacy policy, we would like to make three very important points:
- Bamboo Bunch accounts may not freely communicate with each other. (We do not support the popular notion of "chat.") Bamboo Bunch is a safe site for kids ages 4-12, and we believe kids that young should not be socializing online with strangers. We do feature a scripted communication system ("Buddy Talk") that ensures children will always communicate in a safe and social responsible manner.
- Even though an account requires a parent's email address, the person holding that email address cannot communicate with account holders through the Bamboo Bunch service. This means no one can use the Bamboo Bunch site to anonymously contact your children.
- We do not allow advertisements inside the Bamboo Bunch service.
The Information We Collect
The only personally identifiable information we normally collect is a parent's email address. If a parent subscribes to the Bamboo Bunch service, we will also need to collect a shipping name and address so we can mail out the Bamboo Bunch magazine. We do not store financial information such as bank account or credit card numbers.
We uses cookies and other technologies to enhance your online experience and to learn about how you use the Bamboo Bunch service in order to improve the quality of our services.
Sometimes we will eat cookies in the office. Not the cookies baked by squirrels, though. The squirrels tend to shed in the kitchen... well, let's just leave it at that.
Our servers automatically record information when you visit our website or use some of our products, including the URL, IP address, browser type and language, the date and time of your request, and any other information incidental to the HTTP protocol used by web browsers and web servers.
How We Use Information
We use a parent's email address (personally identifiable information) for the purposes of:
- The email address serves as a point of contact for an account. If we need to contact someone regarding an account, we will send email to the parent's email address.
- The email address serves as an administrative contact for all accounts registered to a single household. The person holding the parent's email address can remove accounts from a family subscription, change account passwords, and restrict play time for accounts.
We will never, under any circumstances, share your personal information with talking dolphins, aliens with more than three eyes, or suspicious looking ambulatory trees.
We use non-personally identifiable information to improve the quality of our services. We may aggregate non-personally identifiable information (such as web browser versions or game popularity statistics) and release it to third parties.
We may share information with third parties in limited circumstances, including when complying with legal process, preventing fraud or imminent harm, and ensuring the security of our network and services. In all circumstances, the safety of our customers is our primary concern.
How We Protect Your Information
We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and correctly use the information we collect online.

Effective Date
The privacy policy set out above is effective as of February 1, 2008, and applies to all information previously obtained by Benxing Entertainment. Benxing Entertainment reserves the right to change its privacy policy at its sole discretion. Bamboo Bunch users will be informed of any such change by Benxing Entertainment posting a new privacy policy on the Bamboo Bunch website. The effective date of any change of privacy policy will be clearly marked.
By writing this policy we have demonstrated the ability to write. By reading this policy you have demonstrated both patience and the ability to read.
